“Town Destroyer.” It sounds like a verdict, and for a lot of people it becomes instant proof that George Washington was a monster. We take that claim head-on and rebuild the story from the ground up, starting with what the Seneca title meant in its own cultural setting and why the nickname is tied to the Washington family before the Revolution even begins.

From there, we zoom out to the bigger issue: how modern ideology can turn history into a single, predictable script where one side is always innocent and the other side is always guilty. The American Revolution does not fit that mold.
