Effective 23 July 2026, VFS Global has launched six new Indian Consular Application Centres (ICACs) in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, taking over the delivery of Indian consular services across Australia. According to the Indian High Commission, the upgraded centres are aimed at improving accessibility, efficiency and the overall customer experience for the Indian diaspora and other applicants seeking consular services in Australia. The High Commission also stated that, in addition to the applicable Government of India fee, applicants will be required to pay a VFS Global service charge of $115 per application.
