The Brahmaputra River is one of the largest rivers in the world, running through Tibet, China, India and Bangladesh. Rooted in the ancient texts of Hindu mythology, it is believed to be the son of Brahma. Rising near Lake Manasarovar, east of Mount Kailash in the Himalayas, this river flows through Tibet. Flowing through the Assam Valley in India, it enters Bangladesh and finally into the Bay of Bengal.
