What makes rope hot — and when should you knot?

Jon and Craig are joined by internationally renowned kink educator, author and authenticity instigator Lee Harrington for a deep dive into rope bondage, Shibari and the connections we create when we tie — or get tied.

Forget the idea that rope is only for impossibly bendy Instagram models dangling dramatically from ceilings. Lee explores rope as communication: a way to play, connect, be vulnerable, get creative and discover what works for the body actually in front of you.

Along the way, we unpack the difference between Shibari and rope bondage, how to negotiate a scene, adapting rope for different bodies and abilities, recognising nerve and circulation issues, planning for when things go wrong, and why a safeword isn’t always enough when it might take ten minutes to untie the human pretzel you’ve created.

Then we loosen the ropes and talk aftercare, top drop, finding teachers who actually know what they’re doing, and why confidence isn’t necessarily the same thing as competence.

Whether you’re an experienced rigger, an enthusiastic bottom, or you’ve never tied anything more complicated than a tarp to the back of a ute, this episode is your invitation to get curious, communicate — and maybe get a little tied up.
