NBA Superlatives and Award Predictions | Good Take

Who will win the NBA’s biggest awards in 2026-27? Wes Goldberg and Mike Shearer make their official MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Sixth Man, Most Improved Player and Coach of the Year predictions — plus a dark-horse pick for every category.

Can Luka Doncic beat out Giannis Antetokounmpo and Victor Wembanyama for MVP? Is Wemby already the obvious choice for interior DPOY? And which breakout candidates could crash the awards race?

But first, it’s the Good Take Superlatives. Wes and Mike pick their must-watch League Pass teams, the player they’ve completely changed their minds about, the superstar most likely to be traded and the player most deserving of an award that doesn’t actually exist. Plus: the inaugural Scottie Pippen Award!
