Here comes Darklight podcast number 7, and for the last cast of 2009 we present an extended episode presenting the very best in jungle, drum n bass and jungle tekno straight from the finest selectors Brighton has to offer!
The first hour provides a heavyweight mashup of some hard amens with some deeper, more rolling dnb flavas tightly mixed by local Brighton DJ’s X Nation + Life.
X Nation, also known as Stimpy, is a local Brighton legend, regularly playing at a whole host of Brighton venues dropping the finest jungle and drum n bass.

The alternative mix this month showcases the new sound of Jungle Tekno, an offshoot or Jungle and drum n bass rapidly rising in popularity – Kosine aka DJ Youngsta is the selecta with a sick mix of the hottest J-Tek cuts many of which are released or forthcoming on his own Originate recordings label.
Originate was setup in January of this year as a platform to support artists that may not be getting the exposure they deserve. Originate will be pushing hi-end underground Jungle & J-tek productions to the scene for the scene by helping it grow in the UK, Europe & Worldwide. With a long list of high profile DJ’s supporting the label including Pilgrim, Outrage, Modular, Bassline Smith, Bizzy B, Stranjah, Theory, Insight, Grooverider, X Nation, Crissy Criss and Classified Material the future looks bright for Originate.
