"The Boy" Turns 10 | William Brent Bell on the Twist That Almost Didn't Happen

Dela

"The Boy" (2016) and it's titular doll "Brahms" are both turning 10 this year. We sat down with director William Brent Bell to discuss the twist ending that made his horror movie an instant cult classic, his sleeper hit "Orphan: First Kill", and his cult videogame movie "Stay Alive" (2006), also celebrating an anniversary this year.

Along the way we discuss Bell's love for the horror genre, the loyalty of its fans, and why he thinks his films have endured over the years. Plus, working with Walking Dead's Lauren Cohan, the original cut of the film where Brahm's human version DIDN'T have a mask, and what's next for "Esther" in the fan favorite Orphan series.
