The Quest for Hidden Films Bill shares insights on a buried gem, Kenny and Company, directed by Don Coscarelli. Despite its rarity, it's now available in good quality on YouTube.
"This is from another Chris, not the same Chris, but another Chris, and this was suggested over a year ago. Don Coscarelli's Kenny and Company, which is his second feature film, not available on any streaming services." The film is a nostalgic throwback to the 1970s, and Bill praises its quality despite its age. Patreon Picks and Film Discussions This week, the duo also reviews Avenging Force, an eighties action flick that features the same leads as the American Ninja series.
Bill encourages listeners to engage with the show by suggesting films through Patreon, highlighting how listener support keeps the podcast thriving.
"If you are a Patreon member and you have not suggested films in the last, you know, seven, eight months, feel free to send us some. We are going through and doing cleanup." Embracing the Spooky Season As October rolls in, Bill and Chris discuss their evolving feelings about Halloween.
"I don't really have anything in particular on that. I have found the last couple of years I am not nearly into Halloween and spooky season as I have been in the past." Chris resonates with this sentiment, reflecting on how the excitement of Halloween shifts with age and responsibilities. A Halloween Game Discussion Bill mentions a new Halloween-themed game, exploring its connection to classic horror movies.
"It came out; I pre-ordered it, so I got into the beta. And it essentially is Friday the thirteenth, the game, just Halloween." They share their mixed feelings about the gameplay experience, inviting listeners to share their thoughts if they've tried it. As the spooky season unfolds, Bill and Chris invite listeners to share their favorite Halloween experiences and recommendations, fostering a sense of community around the love of cult films and the spirit of Halloween.
