The Djinn spirits are often associated with Islam, but they of course are far, far older. Considered a race of beings who live out of sight of humans, their magic is called upon to aid people, but they can also harm people.
The Tuareg people of the Sahara Desert have a long history of magic regarding them and the other spirit beings of the desert, and they like to protect themselves from the Djinn.
