Antonio started learning about trading as a teenager after moving from Italy to the United States. At 17, he joined the U.S. Army, came home with an enlistment bonus, enrolled in community college, and started putting his own money into the market. Then he kept losing it.
While working overnight as a hospital security guard, Antonio would take part of each paycheck and put it back into trading. Penny stocks, options, futures—he learned through years of trial and error, eventually turning the thing his family doubted into a career. Then COVID changed everything. Antonio joined Discord simply to trade with friends, reluctantly started posting trading content after encouragement from his wife, and watched one of his first videos reach millions of views. What eventually became Big Gains Club was never supposed to become a trading community at all.
In this episode of Funded, host Maryam Rushdi sits down with Antonio to talk about more than a decade in the markets, including the trading run where he took an account from roughly $37,000 to $800,000 in four months—and the day he lost $250,000 while traveling to Croatia.
Antonio breaks down why he still feels the emotions of red days after ten years, why traders need to stop jumping between strategies, how to identify real trading education in a space filled with huge payout screenshots, and why finally buying the Ferrari he dreamed about as a teenager didn't make him any happier.
This one is about surviving long enough to figure out what actually matters.
