A conversation with Andrej Nosov, theater director, activist and founder of the institution Heartefact based in Belgrade. He directed the performance KOSTYA – THE BALLAD OF PIGS AND SEAGULLS that recently premiered at Konträr.
Nothing you make will outlive the week. The world cleans its surfaces every morning – quickly, precisely, almost synthetically. So: one disillusioned pig. One dead writer. One new theatre that vanishes in the very act of its becoming.
The play is inspired by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov’s The Seagull.
The performance is part of the project Political Loneliness – a collaboration between Sweets & Heartefact. The project has previously resulted in the performance Art & Money by Freja Hallberg, which is now part of the recurring repertoire in Belgrade and has been presented in both Belgrade and Stockholm. The productions have been funded by the Swedish Institute.
