I've spent a large part of my life deliberately walking toward things that scared me. Fighting. Fire. Standing in front of people. Situations where every instinct in the body says: get the fuck out.
And somewhere along the way, I learned something.
Fear is real.
But it's also just a feeling.
And a feeling doesn't necessarily get to decide what happens next.
The strange part is what happens after you've met fear in its rawest form.
The scale changes.
Things that once looked enormous become small. Everyday fears become noise. And sometimes you find yourself strangely disconnected from a world where people are terrified of things your nervous system barely registers anymore.
Maybe courage isn't being fearless.
Maybe it's learning the true size of fear.
And realizing that sometimes, the monster guarding the door...
is just a feeling asking whether you're willing to walk through anyway.
