3. God’s gift of happiness in marriage
We will see that the family is the primary institution in all of God’s creation, the family is a picture of God’s redemptive work in Jesus Christ, and the family is the essential foundation and the paradigm for all of life and for all of civilization.
Not only that, but a right understanding of the biblical roles of men and women and the family has more power to change the world than any political leader ever could. Yes, you heard that correctly. Families have power to change the world.
Do you want a real solution to change the world, to be happy, and to glorify God...all at the same time? Well, here it is. The family not only brings supreme glory to God, but it also brings supreme earthly enjoyment and pleasure to us. The will of God as revealed in Scripture is perfect. He has prepared an earthly banquet before us to prepare us for eternity.
As Peter said in 2 Peter 3:18, “To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” What God has laid out for humanity in time, will echo in all of eternity. God’s revealed will not only gives meaning to all of human history, but it also points towards the eternal glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, may our earthly lives adorn the doctrine of the gospel of Christ!
