Description:
First Responder at Charlie Kirk Scene Holds a Deadly Secret. He is the
first responder and key witness in the Charlie Kirk assassination
investigation. That alone is a job that demands credibility. But, the
more you look at how he handled the evidence and what he chose to
report, the more you start to understand why people felt off about his
involvement.
He found an empty pistol holster on the ground near where Kirk was shot.
The gunshot, he said, sounded like a rifle crack rather than a handgun
pop. So he left it in the dirt at the scene of a shooting and didn't
collect it as evidence or log it anywhere. He made a judgment call in
real time and decided that holster didn't matter at the scene of a
shooting. A prosecutor later had to defend that decision to a skeptical
courtroom. Here's what you need to hold onto: in 2015, Bagley made
another judgment call about a weapon, and it also went wrong in ways
that affected peoples lives permanently and ended one of them.
And, then, 10 years or so later, he famously moved to the roof of the
Losee Center, the place where the shooter was positioned. He radioed
dispatch and reported finding an impression in the gravel that looked
like a sniper pad. Someone asked him over the radio about shell casings.
He responded clearly: "I do not see any casing." He also didn't mention
finding a screwdriver on that radio call. Nothing about a screwdriver.
Then months later, sitting on the witness stand at the preliminary
hearing, he testified with complete confidence about finding that
screwdriver on the roof. He remembered it well enough to describe it to a
courtroom.
If you felt weird about those discrepancies, you should trust that
feeling. The timeline doesn't match. Either he found the screwdriver and
forgot to mention it when he was supposed to be documenting a crime
scene, or he remembered it wrong months later when testifying. Both
options are problems that suggest his recollection or his procedures
aren't reliable.
