Meet Kathryn Nelson 🐚

Kathryn Nelson is an environmental activist, author, content creator, and the founder of Plastic Free Mermaid.

She has lived plastic-free for more than 12 years, working across campaigns, policy, education, and media while building a community of more than 100,000 people around plastic-free living and ocean conservation.

She is also a mother to a gorgeous four-year-old, which has become a catalyst for greater presence and sincerity in her activism. Kathryn shares how her approach has shifted from one driven by fear and urgency to one rooted in love.
