How do you reconcile the God of the Old Testament with the God of the New Testament...especially when it comes to war and violence?

Didn't God tell the Israelites to wipe out men, women, children, and animals?

But then Christ comes with meekness and gentleness in the New Testament...

How could this be the same God?

This episode dives into how we should think about war and force as Christians, and will help make sense of some of the confusion that can come up if you just take a cursory glance at the Old Testament without understanding what was really going on.
