Edward Elgar Publishing is delighted to launch a podcast as part of it's 40th anniversary celebrations where we will be hosting in-depth conversations with the authors and editors behind our pioneering publications.
In this episode we speak to Professor Peter Boettke of George Mason University. His first book with EEP, The Elgar Companion to Austrian Economics was released in 1994. Since then, Peter has been an author or editor on 12 other titles with us and serves as editor of our New Thinking in Political Economy series which comprises 62 titles to date.
Professor Boettke explores his work with EEP over the past thirty plus years. We talk about political economy and the role of economics in understanding current events, the importance of the history of economic thought, the need for pluralism in economics and the role of books and journals in advancing the field.
