Morello talks about discovering Rush and KISS, the Gene Simmons story, finding a noose in his family’s garage as a teenager, his first band Lock Up and how he developed one of the most distinctive guitar styles in rock history.
He takes us inside the origins of Rage Against the Machine, including the early connection to Maynard James Keenan and Tool, and explains where the name Rage Against the Machine came from.
Morello also looks back on the formation of Audioslave with Rick Rubin and meeting Chris Cornell, playing alongside Bruce Springsteen, and serving as musical director for Back to the Beginning, the historic final performance by Ozzy Osbourne and the original Black Sabbath.
