Mewing, bone smashing og SMV. Har du hørt begreberne før? Hvis du bevæger dig rundt på TikTok eller i de mørkere afkroge af internettet, er du garanteret stødt på fænomenet Looksmaxxing. Det lover dig en mere markeret kæbelinje, symmetriske træk og – vigtigst af alt – en højere værdi på datingmarkedet.
Men er det overhovedet muligt at slå sit ansigt i form? Og hvad sker der med psyken, når ens værdi som menneske bliver reduceret til et Excel-ark og en objektiv score, dikteret af fremmede på en Discord-server?
I denne episode af Sund Fornuft dykker jeg ned i den ekstreme selvoptimerings-kultur. Vi ser nærmere på:
- Metoderne: Hvad er op og ned på mewing og thumbpulling?
- Manosfæren: Hvor stammer de her idealer fra, og hvorfor bliver de så hurtigt ekstreme og misogyne?
- Prisen for perfektion: Hvornår kammer "sund livsstil" over i kontroltab, ensomhed og spiseforstyrret adfærd?
Vi skærer gennem de redigerede før/efter-billeder og kigger på, hvad videnskaben faktisk siger om knoglestruktur og energimangel. For i sidste ende: Kan man overhovedet hacke sig til at blive elsket?
Lyt med og bliv klogere på, hvorfor optimerings-toget nogle gange kører direkte mod mistrivsel – og hvad du skal gøre, hvis du selv føler presset.
