ERIC ANDERSON | How a Swedish lawn game made a footprint in the city of Eau Claire (and the entire United States)

Dela

Eric's enthusiasm is unmatched by anyone I have ever met. His love for the Swedish lawn game Kubb is both deep and contagious - and his mission to spread this peace-making "war game" across America has not only made a Swedish footprint in the city of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, but has also built a network of Kubb-playing devotees across the United States.

What started with a gift set of Kubb from his father has grown into Eau Claire being the Kubb Capital of America, with Eric as the founder and Director of the U.S. National Kubb Championship - the second-largest Kubb tournament in the world.

I steered this road trip podcast to his hometown to learn about his Swedish heritage and to hear him tell the story of how something as seemingly simple as Kubb can build such a strong community.

- And what is a "Swedish Sunday"?
