Michael Porter Jr. is not just any NBA player. He is a 6’10” forward, a first-round pick, an NBA champion and one of the league’s clearest examples of what it looks like to fight back when your body, your future and your expectations all get tested at once. After multiple back surgeries and years of questions about whether he could ever fully become the player people imagined, Porter kept going, kept growing and helped the Denver Nuggets win their first NBA championship in 2023. He later joined the Brooklyn Nets, where he averaged 24.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists this season.
