What if your story didn't begin with you — but with your mother's secret prayer in the darkest moment of her life?
James W. Goll — one of the most recognized prophetic voices of his generation, author of more than 50 books, and minister in more than 50 nations — traces everything back to a grief-stricken woman in rural Missouri who lost a baby boy on July 3rd, 1951, and prayed one desperate prayer: "Lord, if you give me another son, I'll dedicate him to your service." One year later to the exact date, James was born.
In this rich and wide-ranging episode of Supernatural Prayer Stories, Rick Osborne sits down with James for two stories that together make one powerful case: every prayer counts, and every sacrifice matters.
First — the miracle of Justin. When James and his wife discovered she was medically barren, James didn't spiral into despair. He went to God and asked a different question: "What's your dream for us?" God answered in a dream of his own — with a name. The son doctors said was impossible arrived. His name is Justin.
Then — the story that will stop you cold. When communism lifted in Eastern Germany, James was one of the first to enter Herrnhut — the birthplace of the Moravian 110-year prayer meeting that sparked the modern missionary movement. God gave him a name before he arrived: Christian Winter. James pulled up in a bus, knocked on a random door, and the man who answered — the Spirit-filled, evangelical Moravian gatekeeper of the historic cemetery — was Christian Winter. He had the keys to the watchtower. The prayer vigil that followed was a breakthrough James is still building on today, returning for the 300th anniversary of the Moravian Watch of the Lord.
You take the little you have, add your obedience, and God adds everything else.
