A violent raid in Overasselt left one man dead and two cops injured, sparking a massive international drug bust tied to nearly 1300kg of cocaine. Thirty-two of thirty-three suspects—spanning Dutch, French, Belgian, Algerian, Libyan, and Ukrainian backgrounds—are now locked up, most aged 18–32. A viral video accused Jan G., a major suspect linked to 4,000kg seized in France, of stealing the shipment—and he’s now been arrested in Germany. This tangled web of crime highlights how global criminal networks operate with deadly consequences.
