Pop the kettle on, the very first episode of Grand Designs: Deconstructed is finally here.

Join Kevin McCloud, long-time presenter of Grand Designs, and Radio 1’s Greg James, full-time breakfast host and self-confessed superfan, as they cosy up to chat about the latest Grand Designs episode and all the big ideas behind it.

This week, it’s off to the windy hills of the Durham Dales, where artist Sarah has taken on an ambitious build, a bright red, triple-roofed house made of hempcrete. Kevin and Greg unpack the highs, the lows, and the perils of managing a build yourself (hint: not as relaxing as it sounds).

They’ll also catch up with Sarah to hear what life’s really like living in a home you designed with your own hands, complete with an artist’s studio and gallery space.

Come on in. Feet up. Let’s deconstruct some Grand Designs.
