Edward Smith was a highly experienced and respected British sea captain, renowned as the "Millionaire's Captain" for his popularity among wealthy transatlantic travelers. His career with the White Star Line spanned decades, culminating in command of their largest and newest vessels, including the Olympic and the ill-fated RMS Titanic. He is most famously, and tragically, known for being the captain of the Titanic when it struck an iceberg and sank on its maiden voyage in April 1912, perishing with the ship. Please subscribe here.    / @peopleprofiles  Our second channel.    / @dynasticprofiles  Follow us on Spotify. https://open.spotify.com/show/7fKALbr...Support us on Patreon   / thepeopleprofiles  Follow us on Twitter.   / tpprofiles  Thanks for watching!
