The Shadow presents “Death Prowls at Night,” originally broadcast on Mutual on March 23, 1941. Episode 220 of the Blue Coal-sponsored series stars Bill Johnstone as Lamont Cranston/The Shadow and Marjorie Anderson as Margot Lane.
On a ski holiday in wooded mountain country, Lamont and Margot find themselves drawn into reports of a great wolf stalking the night. Their search leads toward an isolated sanatorium, an enigmatic doctor, and a growing sense that something sinister may be controlling the fear. Jerry Devine wrote this horror-tinged adventure, adapted from the Shadow novels by Walter B. Gibson.
The Shadow presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
