EP44: Money — Does It Love Me or Hate Me?

Dela

Money carries more emotion than almost anything else in life.

For many people, it becomes tied to self-worth, security, status, freedom, and even love.

But in this episode of Born to Win, I want to look at money from a completely different perspective.

This is not a lesson about budgeting.

It is not about saving more.

And it is not simply about earning more.

It is about examining the beliefs you have accepted about money—and understanding how those beliefs may be quietly shaping your financial results.

Most of us inherited ideas about money long before we ever earned our first paycheck.

Maybe you heard:

“Money doesn’t grow on trees.”

“Rich people are greedy.”

“There’s never enough.”

“We’re not those kinds of people.”

Hear an idea often enough and eventually it begins to feel like truth.

But familiarity does not make something true.

My father, Bob Proctor, taught me that money is energy—and energy must circulate.

Money itself is neutral.

It can be directed intelligently.

It can create value.

It can build businesses.

It can employ people.

It can support families.

It can fund ideas.

And when you understand how prosperity really works, you begin asking a very different question.

Instead of:

“How do I hold on to what I have?”

You begin asking:

“How can I create more value?”

Inside this episode, we explore:

• How childhood beliefs about money quietly shape adult results • Why money itself is neither good nor bad • What my father meant when he said money must circulate • How fear creates scarcity and constricts opportunity • The difference between stewardship and fear • Why prosperity begins internally before it appears externally • What Dad called “mental money” • How self-image can create invisible limits around income • Earl Nightingale’s formula for increasing your value • Why becoming better at what you do changes what you earn • How giving, service, and circulation are connected • Why your ability to create value is the real source of wealth

One of the most important things my father taught me is that your income is not simply determined by how hard you work.

It is connected to the value you bring.

That changes the conversation completely.

Instead of constantly asking:

“How can I make more money?”

Ask:

“Who must I become to create more value?”

Because prosperity is not simply something you accumulate.

It is a way of thinking.

It begins with your beliefs.

It grows through service.

And it expands through value.

So this week, pay attention to the thoughts you have about money.

Do not judge them.

Just notice them.

And when an old limiting belief appears, ask yourself:

Is this actually true?

Then take one action that increases the value you provide to someone else.

Because your relationship with money begins long before money ever reaches your hands.
