Ep 25: NASA Astronaut Daniel Bursch

Daniel Bursch shares his experiences as a Naval Academy graduate and A-6E Intruder bombadier/navigator turned NASA Astronaut. Dan did 4 spaceflights, three of which were Space Shuttle missions, with the fourth being a 196-day mission aboard the International Space Station (at the time setting the record at the time for longest duration spaceflight for an American astronaut). We discuss the difficulties of being away from family while in space, and the takeaways from an astronaut's experience that apply to every day life.
