Operation Red Wings, Fact or Fiction | Tier1 Podcast - Tier1 Podcast | Lyssna här

Former Delta Force Operator Brent Tucker sits down with investigative journalist Ross Schneiderman to take a deep dive into Operation Red Wings and the story that became Lone Survivor.

Ross spent years investigating the mission, interviewing more than 100 people connected to it and reviewing official documents, mission records and other primary-source material. He brought that research with him.

Could Operation Red Wings have been prevented? What warnings were raised before the mission? How accurate is the story most of us know? And what does newly examined evidence tell us about what actually happened on that mountain?

Brent and Ross walk through the mission from planning and insertion to the compromised reconnaissance team, the firefight, the rescue attempt, Marcus Luttrell’s survival and evidence discovered afterward.

More than 20 years later, there are still questions about Operation Red Wings. This episode takes a hard look at the evidence behind them.
