My child told nursery we hurt him

One of a parents worst nightmares came true for us one day when my then 2 year old told nursery that me and his dad hurt him.

It's a painful topic but I wanted to share the process involving social services and the police that we went through and how ultimately everything was OK in the end.

When it happened to me completely out of the blue I had no idea what to expect but I found some people sharing their story online which helped me feel better about what was going to happen and so I hope this can be useful for anyone else out there who might experience the same thing as kids do be coming out with some crazy stuff!

And even though of course there was nothing happening to James at home (apart from maybe getting a jumper put on when he didnt want to) I am very thankful for all the people who listened to him, believed him, took him seriously and ultimately made sure he was safe.
