Season 2 officially returns in late summer 2026, but first I got to sit down with Eisner Award-winning comic writer Kelly Thompson. We talk all about her love of Buffy, what it’s like stepping into the world of Ms. Summers, and the brand-new Buffyverse stories she’s writing for Dynamite Comics.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer #1 comes out July 22, 2026, followed by Angel #1 on August 19, 2026. Angel picks up directly after Buffy #1, so make sure you grab both to follow the full story.
