Story time! How years of personal development helped me turn my family court experience around.
I spent years losing in court, feeling powerless, overwhelmed, and completely out of my depth.
What I didn't realize back then was that I had a lot more under my control than I thought.
I couldn't control my co-parent's behavior. I couldn't control the judge. I couldn't control the legal system.
But I could control something enormously important: my mindset, my behavior, and how I approached the entire process.
In this episode of Light in the Battle, I'm sharing my personal journey through years of high-conflict co-parenting, legal abuse, narcissistic abuse recovery, trauma healing, and personal development.
From repeatedly losing in family court to finally walking into hearings feeling confident, competent, and emotionally detached.
It didn't happen overnight. It took years of work, including EMDR, forgiveness, surrender, overcoming codependency, and learning to regulate my autistic nervous system.
This isn't a promise that personal development guarantees favorable court outcomes. It's a story about discovering what was within my power to change — and how those changes transformed my experience.
If you've been struggling for years, it's not too late to try a different approach.
Follow along for the full journey, from feeling completely powerless to discovering just how much I could change.
Light in the Battle explores autism (ASD), narcissistic abuse, trauma recovery, emotional detachment, nervous system regulation, post-separation abuse, legal abuse, and high-conflict co-parenting.
