Mollé Mystery Theatre presents “Nightmare,” originally broadcast November 28, 1944. This surviving Armed Forces Radio Service presentation aired as Mystery Playhouse #50, adapted from Cornell Woolrich’s William Irish story “And So to Death,” later retitled “Nightmare.”

When Vince’s nightmare of murder begins to match unsettling physical clues and a police report from Clarksburg, he seeks help from his brother-in-law, homicide detective Cliff Dodge. Though Vince insists he has never visited the town, a stormy drive toward an isolated house raises disturbing questions about dreams, memory, and evidence. Peter Lorre hosts the AFRS Mystery Playhouse broadcast.

Old Time Horror Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
