Isy and Dan head to the City of Dreaming Spires for a day out that is quintessentially Oxford, beginning at one of the oldest libraries in Europe.

First opened to scholars in 1602, the Bodleian Library is home to millions of books and centuries of history. Librarian Lucy takes Isy and Dan behind the scenes to discover the extraordinary scale of its buildings and collections, before they attempt the traditional Bodleian Oath in its original Latin.

Isy and Dan swap books for boats when they take to the River Isis. Their guide Finn shows them how it’s done on a relaxing punt along the river, before Isy and Dan take control themselves – with far less relaxing results.

Along the way, they discover what makes Oxford such a great place to explore and round things off with some more ideas for a fun-filled day in the City of Dreaming Spires.
