Daily Cyber News: WordPress SEO plugin Rank Math compromised to backdoor websites

Some Rank Math PRO downloads from the vendor’s official website contained malware during an 11-hour window. Sites that installed and activated the affected version could receive persistent backdoors that reappeared when someone visited the infected website. The vendor removed the compromised files and released clean version 3.0.124.

Additional detail: Treat every site that activated Rank Math PRO 3.0.123 during the reported window as compromised.
