What if the problem isn't having desires, but believing you'll finally feel better once you get what you want?

In this episode of The Gates in Real Life, we explore Gate 30 in Human Design and Gene Key 30 (the Gate of Desire) and the spectrum from Desire, to Lightness, to Rapture.

We talk about our tendency to chase the next goal, idea, business strategy, or version of success - and what happens when our peace becomes dependent on things turning out exactly as we hoped.

We also explore the surprising role of mistakes and failure. What if desire actually exists, in part, to move us into experiences that don't go according to plan, and those experiences are how we learn, evolve, and contribute to something larger than ourselves?

Along the way, we get into shiny-object syndrome, redefining success, Human Design Authority, the difference between desire and desperation, and how to move from grasping and forcing toward greater trust and surrender.

Gate 30 isn't asking you to stop wanting things.

It's asking whether you can want something deeply without clinging to how (or whether) it happens.
