most problems aren’t nearly as complicated as we make them.
want to get sober? stop drinking.
want to lose weight? eat less.
want to make more money? provide more value.
want to get in shape? exercise consistently.
want to fix your finances? spend less than you make.
obviously, there are details underneath all of those things. but the details usually aren’t the reason nothing changes.
we complicate the solution because complicated gives us more things to think about before we have to do anything.
more research. more planning. more strategies. more explanations.
meanwhile, the obvious thing remains undone.
9 times out of 10, you already know the one thing that would make your situation better.
the question is whether you’re willing to do it.
in this episode, i talk about why solving your problems is usually much simpler than we pretend it is, and why doing the obvious thing consistently matters more than endlessly searching for a better answer.
