After (a very long) summer vacation with episodes being a little all over the place, we are back with our theme based episodes! We're kicking it of on the topic of how your upbringing and background affect your life choices. As we have been very active in advocating for women in STEM, we have looked at our field, and what brings people there/keeps them out through a rather gender coloured lens. In the next few episodes, we want to discover questions such as how does your cultural background influence your choices, what role does family play in your career and what role do bias and prejudice play in your direction in life. In this intro episode we dive into a few studies, give our own take on some of the findings and set the tone for the episodes to come.
