A small but contained fire broke out in a downtown high-rise utility closet on the 33rd floor—no injuries, no apartment damage, and crews quickly got it under control. Smoke forced evacuations, but residents are now waiting to return as an electrician assesses whether the building’s electrical systems are safe. Thankfully, it’s a contained incident with minimal impact—and everyone’s safe.
