This week on the 2000s pop music history podcast reliving every song from the singles charts of the 00s…
“I just want you to know who I am,” bellowed Ronan Keating this week in 2006, as our most anonymous pop star covers The Goo Goo Dolls and derails his career. On the more successful side of things, Beyoncé is back - and it takes a brave pop star to so obviously rip off their own biggest hit and literally call it Deja Vu! Plus, we get the debut of Britain’s Beyoncé, Alesha Dixon.Elsewhere in the world of 2000s pop music, we have Chico trying and failing to have a real career; another X Factor reject trying to launch herself way too late; And the Arctic Monkeys firing their bass player for unclear reasons.
