In this episode of Punk Rock Creatives, Marie chats with Bill Marcks and Jeremy Wood, founding members of Authority Zero and now their new band, Cero Viejo.
We get into the story behind Cero Viejo, from Bill and Jeremy's first meeting at high school in the 1990s to their musical journey together, including chaotic gigs, the things that inspire them, and the excitement and challenges of starting something new. We also explore the current political climate in America and how the world around us influences creativity and music.
We chat about their upcoming self-funded tour across the West Coast and Pacific Northwest, the possibility of bringing Cero Viejo over to the UK, and whether starting your own record label is a brilliant idea or just another headache waiting to happen!
As always, the conversation takes a few unexpected turns, including Dobby the House-Elf, the menopause, and plenty of laughs along the way.
As a bonus the guys treat us to some live acoustic music on the podcast!
Music, politics, friendship and some random tangents.
