Who are the five people you spend the most time with?

It could be:

  • Your partner.
  • Your child.
  • Your best friend.
  • Your dog.
  • The podcast host you listen to every morning.
  • The influencer you watch every night.
  • The news you consume.
  • The audiobook that's constantly in your ears.

In this solo episode, I share one of my favourite exercises that I learned from neuroscientist Dr. Tara Swart—the People Tree Exercise.

Here's how it works:

Write down the five people you spend the most time with in life right now. Not who you are "closest" to

Then, honestly list five qualities that come to mind for each one.

Not the qualities you wish they had...

The qualities you experience most often.

Supportive.
Anxious.
Optimistic.
Negative.
Curious.
Judgmental.
Calm.
Reactive.

This exercise isn't about blaming the people around you.

It's about becoming aware of the environment you're immersed in every single day—and asking yourself whether it's helping you become the person you want to be.

Sometimes the biggest shift in your confidence, mindset and nervous system isn't changing yourself.

It's changing what—and who—you repeatedly expose yourself to.

In this episode you'll learn:

• How to do the People Tree Exercise
• Why your environment shapes your thoughts and behaviours
• The surprising influences you may be overlooking
• How to audit your emotional environment
• Practical questions to help you create healthier relationships
