Sweden’s Youth is joining the army: Should Europe follow?

Is Europe ready for a new era of security? In this episode of the Moving Europe Podcast, hosts Christ and Theo travel to Gothenburg to sit down with Professor Joakim Berndtsson for a compelling look into Sweden’s historic security transformation. Together, they break down the practical realities of reactivating gender-neutral mandatory conscription, Sweden's strategic pivot toward a total defense doctrine and formal NATO membership, the critical role of private business and defense startups in building national resilience, and how a modern society can balance necessary military rearmament with democratic transparency.#MovingEurope #Podcast #conscription #Sweden #NATO
