At 43, Julian Becker finally begins the journey he has spent most of his life imagining.
After years of saving and planning, he leaves Texas to spend an entire year traveling the world. His first route carries him through Lisbon’s tiled streets, the coastline of Cascais, Porto’s blue-tiled station, the Douro Valley, the gardens of Kanazawa, and the quiet ferry routes and island roads of Japan’s Seto Inland Sea.
Along the way, Julian begins creating The Quiet Atlas: a personal record built from one photograph, one object, one meal, one observation, and one lesson from each place he visits.
