England batter and For the Love of Cricket co-host Jos Buttler relives his journey from the Somerset academy to the top of the men’s T20 run charts.
He recalls choosing cricket over tennis as a schoolboy and is joined by one of his early mentors, the strength and conditioning coach Darren Veness, who remembers young Jos as a ‘little hooligan’ he used to drive to matches.
With remarkable honesty and insight, Buttler lifts the lid on his physical and mental preparation to reach the top and relives captaining England to T20 World Cup glory in Australia before quitting after a difficult Champions Trophy campaign in 2025.
He picks out the best of his seven IPL hundreds and explains why he’s motivated to overcome his latest injury setback and go all the way with England once again.
