A central legend. In the first narrative, a young knight named Galahad encounters a scarred woman named Ciri bathing in a lake, mistakenly identifying her as the mythical Lady of the Lake from Arthurian lore. Ciri rejects this title, explaining that she has traveled from a distant world and has been a prisoner in a magical realm. The second storyline follows Condwiramurs Tilly, a magical adept arriving at an island to assist a powerful sorceress also known as the Lady of the Lake. This sorceress, Nimue, uses a vast gallery of art to anchor Condwiramurs's psychic abilities, tasking her with dreaming of the past to uncover lost truths about Ciri and the witcher Geralt. Together, these segments explore how historical events transform into myth and how different characters interpret the same recurring stories across time.
