Part 1 | Learning you’ve made a mistake and hurt someone is a shitty feeling. And honestly, in an era of so-called 'cancel culture' and social media, it can feel like the moment you admit that, you risk opening yourself up to public shaming. So, instead of owning a mistake, a lot of us do the easier thing. We bury it, avoid accountability, and try not to think about it at all.The thing is, though, we've all been there, we’ve all made mistakes, we all have regrets. Nobody is expecting you to get it all right all the time.
So, is there a place where we can make mistakes, have regret, reflect on it, take accountability, and be better because of it?The Line and Teach Us Consent have teamed up to explore that, how we can get to the place, and what we can do when we mess up.
We had a conversation with amazing role models @kathebbs @louis.phillips12 and @outbacktom to talk about all of that.
And just a note, this episode talks about some pretty heavy topics to do with emotions, relationships, s*x and consent. If you need support, help is available.
