Tonight, step onto the cold stone walls of a medieval city and spend the night as a watchman while the town sleeps below.
From dusk until dawn, you patrol the battlements beneath moonlight and torchlight, listening to distant church bells, barking dogs, creaking shutters, and footsteps in the darkness. Your job is to watch for fires, thieves, suspicious travelers, and anything else that might disturb the sleeping town. Most alarms, thankfully, turn out to be considerably less exciting than they first appear.
As the hours pass, you check the gates, watch the rooftops for smoke, investigate strange sounds, and endure the coldest hours before dawn. It is a quiet job built around preparing for disasters that, on a good night, never arrive.
So get comfortable, close your eyes, and fall asleep while walking the walls of a medieval city through one long, peaceful night.
