It was August. It was 34°C. A perfect hot summer day in the Czech Republic.

So how did I end up riding on SNOW? ❄️😄

In today's A2 Czech Story, I'm taking you with me on a little trip to the Krkonoše mountains.

What can you practise with this story?

•  verbs of movement in context 
•  the Czech past tense 
•  useful vocabulary for trips and the mountains 
•  everyday phrases and useful word combinations 
•  following a Czech story without understanding every word 

You'll also hear a few words that may be above A2. That's intentional. They make the story sound more natural — and the story is carefully built to give you enough context to guess what they mean and keep following what is happening.

Your challenge?

Don't try to translate every word. Listen, follow the story and notice how much you can understand from the context.

And don't stop at listening.

At the end, I'll ask you a few questions. Try to answer them in Czech. Even one simple sentence counts.
