Patrick Keane joins Larry Richert and Jay Caufield to talk about 25 years in stand-up, learning how to survive tough crowds, the comedians and movies that influenced his career, and how a simple joke can grow into a full routine. Patrick also shares his connection to football, his appreciation for Pittsburgh sports culture, memories of opening for David Spade, and his hilarious take on the Immaculate Reception.
Then, Australian comedian Joel Ozborn joins the show to share the incredible story of meeting the Amazing Jonathan as a kid and eventually moving to America to become his tour manager. Joel talks about the cultural differences between Australia and the United States, Vegemite, Crocodile Dundee, classic ’80s movies, and some unforgettable celebrity stories.
Joel also explains how the Goddamn Comedy Jam changed his life twice, first as a performer and later when a performance of “Piano Man” helped reconnect him with the woman who would become his wife.
